Laila history

Today we will introduce the first elephant of our elephant camp to everyone. Her name is Laila. Let’s get to know her!!!

Laila is an elephant that was born from Surin province, which is located in the lower northeastern region (Southern Isan) of Thailand.

She has been traveling with us for 2 years now. She is an elephant that has received quite a lot of attention from customers. At only 15 years of age, she has a habit of having fun. friendly to everyone

Therefore, she is one of the cute elephants at the camp. With a body weight of approximately 2500 kilograms, she can eat up to 250 kilograms of food per day. Drinks up to 200 liters of water per day.

It is an elephant whose favorite food is bananas. Grass and pineapples are secondary foods. Eat a lot like this and get big. Another personality trait of Miss Laila, our female elephant, is that she is frightened. So if you want to get close It is recommended that the mahout give permission first. Or have a mahout with you to be safe? It is strictly forbidden to approach alone.

After reading up to this point, are you worried about anything? Don’t worry about anything at all. If you come to visit our elephant camp You definitely get to take photos and feed the elephant (Laila). Because our elephant camp has Tour guides provide services. There is a mahout to take care of safety.

No need to worry about anything at all. Let’s take a look at some sample pictures of activities at our elephant camp first. You can click to see a sample picture.

Mahout information

Come get to know the mahout who is responsible for taking care of the elephants (Laila). He is a mahout who was born from Surin province. The same province where the elephant (Laila) was born.

The name Mr.Terapatch is now 35 years old and he has experience in taking care of elephants since childhood. Since there were elephants at home, I have always lived with elephants.

This gives us confidence that this mahout truly understands elephants. Let me explain more about Surin Province of Thailand. It is a province that has a long history of taking care of elephants until now. It is the province with the most raised elephants in Thailand.

Therefore, this mahout’s knowledge, ability, and experience in raising elephants has everything. It is considered lucky for the elephant (Laila) to have a good mahout like Mr. Tui, the nickname of the mahout (Laila).

Don’t forget to visit us

If you want to know How cute is the elephant (Laila)? The mahout named Tui understands elephants and how well they take care of them. We recommend that you stop by and visit our Oasis elephant park.

In addition to meeting the elephant (Laila), there are also 5 other elephant friends who are ready to get to know you. With many good activities for half a day. Or we have a short program to choose from, such as the 3IN1 program that includes Rubber tapping show/Feed elephant/Take a photo with elephant/Elephant’s shower activities. These are some of our tour packages. You can see details of popular half-day tour packages here. You can click to see.

Another program that I would like to present.

It is a new program that the company has just launched. It is a program that took us more than 2 years to prepare in order to get every detail complete. and is a program that is available only at our elephant camp We use the name of the program Elephant explore. The simple explanation is Jungle trek with elephants.

It is a program that conveys the nature of elephants when they are in the forest, such as finding food, finding water sources. or herbal medicine As for the mahouts who have to go with the elephants, they have the same methods of survival, such as finding food in the forest. Cooking rice with bamboo tube

And you will get to know the relationship between the mahout and the elephant when they are in the forest. We want you to actually see that moment, that time in your life when you go into the forest with elephants and try to survive in the forest like ancient people. You can see the details of the program.
